PE is polyethylene plastic, the most basic kind of plastic, plastic bags, plastic wrap and so on are PE, HDPE is a high crystallinity, nonpolar thermoplastic resin.
General provisions:
1. Before pipe connection, the pipe materials, PE Pipe Fitting and auxiliary equipment shall be checked according to the design requirements, and the appearance inspection shall be conducted at the construction site and used before meeting the requirements. The main inspection items include pressure resistance grade, external surface quality, matching quality, material consistency, etc.
2. Corresponding special heating tools shall be adopted according to different interface forms, and open fire heating pipes and fittings shall not be used.
3. For pipes connected by fusion method, pipe materials and HDPE Fittings of the same grade material should be used. Those with similar performance must be tested first before being qualified.
4. The pipe materials and PE Fitting should be placed at the construction site for a certain period of time before connecting them to make the temperature of the pipe materials and pipe fittings consistent.
5. Protective measures or adjusted connection process should be adopted when connecting in cold climate (below- -5 degrees) and windy environmental conditions.
6. The pipe end should be clean when the HDPE Pipe Fitting is connected, and the pipe mouth should be temporarily blocked each time the work ends to prevent debris from entering the pipe.
7. Appearance inspection should be carried out after the pipeline is connected, and those unqualified should rework immediately.
Connection of the pipeline:
1. PE Pipe Fitting Electrofusion performance: a special electric thermal fusion welding machine is used to connect the straight HDPE Pipe and the straight pipe, and the straight pipe and the HDPE Pipe Fittings. It is generally mostly used for tubes below 160mm.
2. PE Pipe Fitting Socket Fusion connection: using a special docking welding machine PE Pipe to connect, generally used for more than 160mm pipe.
3. Steel and plastic connection: flange, thread wire buckle and other methods can be used to connect.
4. In order to facilitate the construction and ensure the construction quality, the corresponding tools should also be prepared. Such as: rotary cutter a cut pipe; rotary scraper- -scrape off the surface of the pipe oxidation skin; climbing wall scraper- -scrape off the surface of the large diameter pipe skin; gas break tool- -to achieve gas break field operation.
