Operation method:
Opening pressure adjustment:
1. Before the safety valve is factory, the opening pressure should be adjusted to the setting value required by the user. If the user proposes the spring working pressure level, the factory should be adjusted according to the lower limit of the pressure level.
2. Before installing the CPVC Safety Valve on the protected equipment, the user must readjust it at the installation site to ensure that the set pressure value of the safety valve meets the requirements.
3. Adjust the opening pressure by rotating the adjustment screw to change the spring pressure amount within the spring working pressure level indicated on the nameplate.
4. Before rotating the adjustment screw, the valve inlet pressure should be reduced to below 90% of the opening pressure to prevent the valve flap from being driven by rotating during the rotation adjustment screw and causing the damage to the sealing surface.
5. In order to ensure the accuracy of the opening pressure value, the medium conditions during the adjustment, such as the medium type and temperature, should be as close to the actual operating conditions as possible. The medium type changes, especially when the medium poly-product state is different (for example, from liquid phase to gas phase), the opening pressure often changes. When the operating temperature increases, the opening pressure generally decreases. Therefore, when adjusted at normal temperature and used for high temperature, the setting pressure value at normal temperature should be slightly higher than the required opening pressure value.
