Main functions of accessories of dosing system:

Back pressure valve of dosing system: it is mainly used to stabilize the pipeline pressure and prevent siphonage, backflow and self flow.

Dosing system safety valve: used to protect the pipeline system and prevent the use of metering pump and system overpressure.

Pulsation damper of dosing system: it is used to reduce pulsation of metering pump, stabilize pipeline pressure and protect precision instruments.

Dosing system flow calibration column: used to calibrate and detect the flow of metering pump.

Y-type filter of dosing system: it is used to filter impurities in the pipeline to prevent insufficient flow and pressure caused by impurities in the metering pump.

Common problems and solutions of dosing system:

Problem 1 of dosing system:

When there is no pressure at the outlet of the metering pump, the actual flow of the pump is much larger than the rated flow, and when the flow is adjusted, the flow basically does not change.

Solution: install back pressure valve at the outlet of metering pump of dosing system; while stabilizing the pipeline pressure, back pressure valve can stabilize the flow of metering pump and ensure the metering accuracy.

Problem 2 of dosing system:

When the pump is turned on, the outlet pipeline vibrates greatly.

Solution: install pulse damper at the outlet of metering pump of dosing system (if there is no pressure at the outlet of metering pump, it is better to use it at the same time with back pressure valve). Due to inertia resistance, the fluid at the discharge end will produce pulsating impact force on the pipeline at the beginning of pump operation. This is a unique phenomenon of reciprocating pump, which is caused by the sudden acceleration of liquid in the pipeline. Pulsation damper can effectively prevent pipeline vibration caused by pulse.

Problem 3 of dosing system:

When the pump is turned on, the liquid cannot be pumped out or the pressure cannot be pumped up, and the flow is not stable.

Solution: there are many reasons why the metering pump of dosing system can not pump liquid, such as diaphragm damage, pipeline blockage, etc. under the normal operation of motor and plunger, the reason why the pressure can not be driven up is usually because there are impurities in the liquid, resulting in the incomplete sealing between the inlet and outlet valve balls and valve seats of metering pump, so the pressure can not be driven up, and the flow is not stable, so it is recommended to install it Filter to prevent impurities from entering the pipeline.

Problem 4 of dosing system:

(a) The liquid medicine in the reservoir still flows out from the pump head after the pump stops.

(b) Siphon phenomenon occurs during dosing by metering pump of dosing system.

Solution: install back pressure valve at the outlet of metering pump of dosing system; since the liquid level of liquid storage tank is higher than that of metering pump head, it will generate self flow, and the back pressure valve can effectively prevent self flow or siphon.

Problem 5 of dosing system:

The pressure fluctuation of pump outlet pipeline is large, which affects the measurement accuracy and the use of precision instruments.

The solution is to install pulsation damper near the pump outlet of dosing system, which is best used together with back pressure valve. When a proper volume of pulsation damper is installed, more than 90% of the pulsation can be reduced, and the liquid after the damper can flow out smoothly.
