The rotor flow meter is to measure the fluid flow rate according to the principle of throttling flow, but it changes the flow area of the fluid to keep the differential pressure up and down the rotor constant, so it is also called the variable flow area constant differential pressure flow meter, also known as the float flow meter.
Installation Note: In order to make the rotor FLOW METER work normally and achieve a certain measurement accuracy, the following points should be paid attention to when installing the flow meter:
1. The ROTA METER must be installed vertically on the pipe without vibration. Fluid flows through flow meter bottom up with perpendality above 2 and horizontal angle above 2 for horizontal installation; (Now has a horizontally mounted rotor flow meter)
2. In order to facilitate maintenance and replacement of flow meter, cleaning and cleaning of measuring pipelines, the metal pipe float flow meter installed on the process pipeline should be installed with bypass pipes and bypass valves;
3. The inlet of the rotor flow meter should be a straight section above 5 times the pipe diameter, and the outlet should be 250mm straight section;
4. If a ferromagnetic material is contained in the medium, a magnetic filter should be installed; if the medium contains solid impurities, the Plastic Filter should be added between the valve and the straight pipe section;
5. When used for gas measurement, the pipeline pressure should be not less than 5 times the pressure loss of the flow meter to make the float work stably;
6. In order to avoid the deformation of the flow meter due to the pipeline, the flange of the process pipeline must be coaxial and parallel to the flange of the flow meter. The pipe support to avoid pipe vibration and reduce the axial load of the PANEL FLOW METER. The Control Valve in the measurement system shall be installed downstream of the flow meter:
7. When measuring the gas, if the gas directly discharges the atmosphere at the outlet of the GAS FLOW METER, the valve should be installed at the outlet of the instrument, otherwise the air pressure drop will occur at the float and cause data distortion.
8. When installing the instrument of PTFE lining, the flange nut should not be twisted too tightly asymmetrically at will, so as not to cause the deformation of PTFE lining;
9. Instruments with LCD display should avoid direct sunlight display to avoid reducing LCD service life; instruments with lithium battery power supply should avoid direct sunlight and high temperature environment (65℃) to reduce the capacity and life of lithium battery.
